Leopard laid in behind the leader for the first quarter, took command when called on and came away cantering at the end. Don ohigh ran a good race under a poor ride. Wallace Tiept fumbling with his lines through the last sixteenth. Jollier and Getchel fought it out all of the last furlong, the former staying best. The latter swerved when the barrier went up. At post 8 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second the same. Little Jack Horner displayed the most speed all the way. Fuller drew the finish fine and could have won farther off. Countess Clara showed speed and was a keen contender to the last sixteenth, but was under a hard drive at the end to stall off Ben Hullum. The latter began slowly and closed a big gap. Little Hindoo ran away a mile and a half while on his Tvay to the post. Overweights Countess Clara, 1 pound. Countess Clara, show, 2 to 1. THIRD RACE 5-8 Mile. Purse 50. 3-year olds and upward. Earl waited until in the last furlong before making his bid and wore the leader down in the stretch run, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off The Elba. Tancred ran as if he outclassed his company, opened up a winning lead in the first quarter and only cantered the remainder of the trip. Sigmund was under a drive all of the last " quarter and carried Ben Lear wide at the turn into the homestretch. Paramount closed a big gap and finished well, but never got to going freely until after they had gone a half. Overweights Paramount, 5 pounds. No show betting. FIFTH RACE 1 Mile. Won easily; second driving. for the first six took the lead in Joe Lesser laid along in company with Boundlee furlongs, the stretch run and came away fast at the end. Chickadee began slowly and was outrun in the first half, but closed a big gap and finished going fast. Boundlee was well in hand to the far turn, but tired in the last quarter. Murphys finish on Fon Spray was a weak one. Joe Collins tired when called on. El Caney began slowly and made up a lot of ground, but tired in the last furlong. Scratched 37917 Chorus Boy, 112.
