Sartor Resartus outclassed the field, was off well in motion, showed superior speed all the way and was never in trouble. Check Morgan was easily the best of the others. Matt Wadleigh was cut off at the far turn, but came again at the end and outgamed Getchel in the final drive. Ache ran well to the stretch. Scratched 37933 Ben Mac, 105; Tiomaine, 105. Countess Clara wore the leaders down in the stretch run and came away without much effort at the end. Mistie showed the most early speed, but was used up in setting the pace and was driving to the limit to stall off Boomerack in the last furlong. The latter ran well, but was sore when going to the post. The Light was outrun through the entire trip. Boomerack swerved over in front of her in the stretch run. Scratched 37952 DArcy, 95. Helgesen waited with him until in the last quarter before making a move and came wide into the homestretch, but drew away with a rush in the stretch run Carl Kahler did not show his usual early speed, but came fast at the end and beat out Xiittle Jack Horner. The latter showed early speed, but tired when challenged. Dewey was under restraint for the first half and worked out a mile, but pulled up lame. Tancred, show, out. Carl Kahler, show, out. Sig-mund was well rated by Daly and saved ground all the way, but tired when called on for a final effort. Dr. Kammerer swerved across the track at the sixteenth post. Chorus Boy was off running and opened up a winning lead before the others got to going freely, but had to be shaken up at the end to stall off Boundlee. The latter finished fast and outgamed Ben Lear in a sharp drive. The latter did his best throughout. Aimless wheeled when the barrier went up and was as good as left at the post. Phillips waited with Blanco for the first half and then went to the front quickly, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Optimo. The latter came again in the last sixteenth, was wearing Blanco down and would have won in another stride. El Caney finished on the inside while Chickadee lost a lot of ground by swerving over to the outside in the stretch run. Scratched 37920 Trocadero, 106. Overweights Optimo, 1 pound. No show betting. .
