WESTERN JOCKEY CLUB ACTION. The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of the Western Jockey Club waB held Monday, April 6. Thompson for reinstatement of the horses Gumbo and Mabel Hurst, which raced at Newport, was denied. In the matter of the controversy over the services of apprentice J. Foley it was ordered that Foleys apprentice license, granted upon the application of E. E. Farley, be revoked, the boy awarded to M. J. Maloney, and that E. E. Farley be fined 00 for violation of Rule 176. The appeal of E. L. Talley was denied. The Secretary was ordered to notify the secretaries of tracks under the jurisdiction of the Western Jockey Club to accpt no applications for licenses of persons whose endorsers are in the forfeit list. It was ordered that a license be granted to jockey A. Bradly on application and payment of fee. The disqualification of S. T. Gaines and the horses Swan Dance, Clifton Boy and Lillie Pantland was removed. The meeting adjourned to 8 oclock. Harvey T. Woodruff, Secretary.
