Maxrose got away well, showed the most speed throughout and was well ridden. Myron Dale had no mishaps and just lasted long enough to beat Rainland. The latter should have been second. He got away badly and had to run around his field, made up much ground and finished fast. Foghorn ran a good race. The others were in their own way. Maxrose, show, 8 to 5. Myron Dale, show, 1 to 3. Reducer was always a contender, finished fast and won going away, but interfered with Broodier in the last sixteenth. Broodier ran to his best form, but was badly ridden. Flora Levy made up ground in the stretch, but suffered from poor handling. Mrs. Grannan showed the most early speed, but quit under pressure. Spurs got away badly and had a rough trip. Dewey failed to run to his best form. Snare could not run in the mud.
