Cassville got off running and showed the most speed throughout, but was tiring at the end. Lieschen was coming fast at the end, but had no chance to catch the winner. Right and True ran a good race and was at home in the going. Little Jack Horner ran well, but tired in the final drive. Arden made up some ground from a poor beginning. Benmora ran in the middle of the field all the way and was poorly handled. Won easily; second the same Bath Beach forced a fast pace after getting away running, but was hardly keyed ud to the route and was tiring at the end. The race should fit him thoroughly. Valour ran CTeen in the first part of the race, but closed up fast when once settled to running and will do better. The latter was at home in the going and stood a long stretch drive well, but swerved toward the end. Imperious finished fast under the whip. Fried Krupp was short, came fast a furlong from home, but tired under pressure. 3 Alado was crowded back at the start. The Talisman was eased up at the end. . Ahumada, off none too well, could not get through until in the stretch, -where he came around and finishing with a rare burst of speed, got up in the last few strides. Yellow : Tails performance was a good one considering his dislike for the mud. He fought out the finish gamely. Illyria, in light, wore Duelist down in the stretch and hung on gamely in the final drive. Duelist displayed a good burst of speed, but could not quite last the route. Lord Badge was in close quarters all the way and did not run to his best form. Setauket got off poorly and made up some ground. Paul Clifford was going fast when he was shut . off on the turn. Himself was crowded back in the rush for positions. Aholas performance . fnr oi-v- fnrlones was a eood one. Bon Mot got off poorly and was not persevered with.
