BARRETT BARRED. I Tho stewards of Tho Jockey Club held an Important meeting at tho Windsor Areado Tuesday. August Belmont, F. K. Sturgls, j p. R. Hitchcock. Andrew Miller and II. K. Knapp wero present. Tho action of tho stewards of tho "Washington Jockey Club in denying the privileges of tho track to trainer W. IT. Barrett was approved, and all tracks in tho east hereafter will refuse to allow Barrett to enter tho paddock. Barrett was charged with making an offer to jockoy J. Jones to put ip a poor rldo on tho horso True Blue in a recent raco at Bennlngs, but ho pleaded as an excuse that ho was under tho intluenco of liquor at tho tlmo and did not know what ho was talking about. Jockey Miles, in tho employ of "Father Bill" Daly, who was suspended by the Ben-nings stewards for a bad ride on Carroll D., will stay on tho ground indefinitely, which means that ho is in for a long spell of idleness. Tho license of C. It. Van Name as a trainer has been withdrawn, but no reason is given. Tho stewards also refused tho application of F. T. "Wright for a trainers licenso and then reinstated trainers P. T. Brady and G. C. Gray, and jockey Thomas Sinnot. Tho application of Joseph Lewis for permission to register and name tho bay gelding Jim A. Long, foal of 1S97, upon payment of 00 fine, was granted. "W. S. "Vosburgh was" appointed official steward to represent The Jockey Club at the Queens County Jockey Club and tho Metropolitan Jockey Club spring meetings. The following list of officials appointed by the Metropolitan Jockey Club for their meetings was approved: Handicapper, "W. S. Vosburgh; starter, C. J. Fitzgerald; judges, Clarence McDowell and C. H. Pettingill; clerk of the scales, Algernon Daingerfield; paddock and patrol judge, "W. H. Hall; timer, TV. H. Barretto; starting judge, H. TJ. Homan. The following jockeys received licenses: Beauchamp, French, Gormley, Sinnot, Jenkins, Nevins, OLaughlin, Sims, Yancey, J. Daly, Foley, Fuller, Hodges and OConnell.
