Dollie "Wiethoff secured a lucky start and waited on the pacemaker to the stretch, where she wore him down fast and won going away. The Miller worked a rough journey gamely and finished fast. Amasa got away running, made the most of his advantage and held on well at the end. Jerid failed to stay, the fast going being against him. Homage closed up much ground. Yellowstone worked a rough journey to the stretch, where he was hopelessly pocketed. Milas seemingly lacked speed. Scratched 38175 J. Boggs, 107. St. George Jr. beat the barrier, which advantage won for him. He led throughout and outstayed Ravelena after a long stretch drive. The latter, away poorly, rushed into prominence with a great burst of speed and stood a long drive and was unlucky to lose. Whoa Bill swerved across in front of the field and lost many lengths before getting into his stride, then closed a gap and finished with a whirlwind rush. Keogh went very wide from a slow start and was given a poor ride. Sofita had no chance with a bad jockey.. Rose Farr is evidently in bad form. Bennett is genuinely improved and ran a fast and game race. Alta G. practically forced the pace from the start and held on welL Somenos fell away in the last quarter and was badly ridden. Dr. Boyle was nearly left through bolting at the start, but gradually moved up, raced a phenomenal quarter on the far turn into second place behind Princess Titania and when straightened for the wire he ran past her as if she was anchored. Princess Titania got away in her stride, forced the pace to the stretch and was much the best of the others. Annie Max is very good, closed up fast at the end and caught Mocorito tiring. The latter was possibly second best, but was used up in an early effort to outrun the pacemaker. Kenilworth was palpably short and quit after going the first three furlongs. He is reported to have done considerable stud duty and was in no shape to race. Dr. Boyle, show, out. Princess Titania, show, out. Annie Max, show, evens. The latter forced the pace from the start and turned into the stretch with a goood lead, which advantage he lost through poor handling and was swerving all over the track. Hutch Miller finished fast.
