Armeath improves with each race and ran better in fast going, closed up gamely in the stretch under a hard drive and, just lasted long enough. Homestead can beat this company, got off poorly and made up abig gap, finishing fast next to the rail and was gaining at the end. Andrattus was used up in wearing Cassville down, but held on well in the final drive. True Blue is rounding to and finished going fast. Cassville was eased up when beaten. Valour needed his last race to fit him, was a sharp contender all the way today, stood a drive gamely and had enough left to stall off Wizard in the final rush. The latter ran a good race, held on well under punishment and should improve. Peter Paul ran well and had no mishaps. There was too much speed for Knobhampton. Silver Dream finished fast" and will probably do better at a longer distance. Bronx is a big colt, began slowly and ran green throughout. Scratched 38280 Seymour, 99; 381463Spring, 99. Went to post at 3:30. At post 3 minutes. Start poor. Won driving; second the same. Ernest Parham came with a fine rush from away back and was lucky to get through in the stretch. Fuller rode a good finish. Kingraine saved ground by hugging the rail and was going fast at the end. Oclawaha came fast in the stretch, but tired when a sixteenth from home and had to be hard ridden. The route was too far for Mezzo, which worked his way to the front in the stretch, but quit under punishment. Silurian was poorly handled. Louise Elston made up lost ground and finished fast. Bobbinet was lucky at the start and forced and fast pace from which she tired, but her race was a good one. Alado received a poor start and closed a big gap. There was a lot of crowding right after the start and all down the backstretch among the rear division. Scratched 38054 Brisk, 110. Overweights Louise Elston, 5 pounds. Ernest Parham, show, 2 to 1. Burns won the race for Dr. Saylor, saved ground with him all the way and squeezed through next to the rail in the stretch and finished fast under the whip. Ahola ran a good race and should have won, but Wilkerson paid too much attention to Illyria and Burns slipped up next to the rail. Illyria weakened from forcing a fast pace. Durazzo finished gamely and his race was a good one. Pageant began slowly and came with a rush in the stretch. W. R. Condon tired in the final drive. Cranesville was shut off on the turn. Athelroy got off poorly. Colonist was eased up when beaten. Scratched 38282 Ahumada, 120; 36120 Chicle, 100. Corrected weights Illyria, 108. Dr. Saylor, show, 9 to 5. Ahola, show, 3 to 5.
