The latter displayed improvement on the fast track and her race was a good one. McGonigle, off poorly, closed a big gap, finished fast and is worth remembering when with good rider up. Evelyn Arnold showed early speed, but tired and was plainly short. Honey Boy made up some ground in the stretch, then tired. Miss McKenna was eased up in the stretch when beaten. Always speedy, he gamely stood a drive in the stretch to stall off Royal, but had much the best of the weights. Royal, off poorly, made up a lot of ground and his race was a good one. Invincible was "plainly short and should improve on this showing. It was an exercise only for Articulate. The company being too speedy for him at the distance. Ho was worked out a half mile after the finish and outclasses this kind when right. Sister Juliet ran a fair race and is worth remembering. CONTINUED ON FIFTH TAQE, AQUEDUCT FORM CHART-CONTINUED. Potente was easily the best at the weights, was under restraint all through the stretch and could have won farther off. Ethics was shut off on the turn into the backstretch and closed up in the stretch when a furlong from home, but tired and had to be whipped out. Torchlights race was a good one and she can win in slower company. Silurian tried to bolt in the run to the first turn and went very wide and tired in the stretch run. Dark Planet was outclassed. Miss Eugenie needed the race to fit her, is a likely youngster and would have won with riders reversed. Australina closed up very fast after running green in the first part of the race and should improve. Reverberate quit after going a half mile. All Colors was high in flesh. Won driving; second easily. Frank Rice made up a tremendous amount of ground, showed the most speed through the stretch and would have won farther off with a good rider. Star and Garter also made up much ground and ran an excellent race. Rostand was used up in racing with True Blue, but stood the stretch drive gamely. Cranesville ran well. The route was too far for True Blue and he quit badly under the whip. Courtenay was pocketed in the middle of the field all the way. Pittacus was repeatedly interfered with. Courtmaid closed up fast in the final furlong and outlasted Alan in a sharp drive. Alan did not display as much speed as usual, but finished well. Nevermore ran poorly and is probably overrated. Athlana showed plenty of speed, but was not up to the route and was eased up in the last hundred yards. Scratched 38401 Miladi Love, 104; 38494 Pittacus, 101; 38404 Twin Rose, 96.
