Mollie T. outbroke her horses and spreadeagled them. She was much the best and won eased up. Ben Hullum was off well, but fell back and seemed to suffer from poor handling early, but came fast through the stretch. Vicie Vance was pinched off on the turn. Travers displayed the most early speed and led easily to the stretch, where he was tiring and barely lasted long enough to win. Chamblee ran an excellent race under inefficient handling and would have Avon with a stronger rider up. Deutschland ran a good six furlongs and quit badly in the stretch. Sylvia Talbot showed great speed, but failed to stay. Delagoa was outrun from the start and did her best. Maud Gonnes heavy impost anchored her, but she hung on gamely throughout.
