WESTERN JOCKEY CLUB ACTION. The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of the Western Jockey Club was Tield Monday, May 4. Disqualification of the following persons and horses was removed. Dan OBrien was reinstated upon application of the following members of the original committee which Investigated the charge against him and recommended that he be punished: B. G. Thomas, T. J. The application of Harry Wilson for a jockey license was denied. The application of Mrs. Tennie Fizer for a reconsideration of her petition for the reinstatement of ten horses was passed to the next meeting. The applications of P. J. Millet for the reinstatement of the horse Foundling and of G. W. Beck for the reinstatement of the horse Tom Collins, were passed to the next meeting. The petition of E. E. Farley for a reopening of the case involving the services of jockey J. Foley, was denied. It was ordered that a license be granted J. Foley upon the filing of proper application. The application of P. Sheridan for a forfeit order against J. Carroll was denied.- The following racing officials for the Hawthorne meetings of 1903 were approved: Frank J. Bryan, presiding judge. Sheridan Clark, associate judge. J. J. Holtman, starter. H. F. Moore, clerk of the scales. James Loughman, paddock judge and timer. Edward Jasper, entry clerk. Sheridan Clark, secretary and handicapper. R. Fitzgerald was appointed official steward to represent the Western Jockey Club at said meetings. The following officials for the Latonia Jockey Club spring meeting were approved: Charles F. Price, judge. J. W. Price, judge. J. J. Holtman aiid Richard Dwyer, starters. E. C. Hopper, secretary and handicapper. John B. Dillon, clerk of scales. W. L. Letcher, entry clerk. George G. Perkins was appointed official steward to represent the Western Jockey Club at said meeting. It was ordered that forfeits against Belle Meade, amounting to 85, be paid by W. H. Jackson. John Fay was given permission to run a colt, Incorrectly registered as E. Tierney, as Ed Tierney. Racing secretaries were directed to require all firms using the words "and Company" to prefix initials. Racing secretaries were directed to accept no entries from firms having duplicate colors.
