At post 3 minutes. Start fair for all but I. Samelson, which was practically left at the post. Won driving; second the same. Marlin came with a rush in the last eighth running next to the inside rail and just got up in time to nip Fullback on the post. Fullback ran well and made up some ground in the final eighth. Harry Beck stood a long stretch drive. Annu showed much speed, but tired just a trifle in the final strides. Irene Mac was all entangled at the start and had no chance thereafter. Lady Free Knight moved up fast in the last quarter and easily passed to the front when a sixteenth out winning as her rider pleased. Miss Fleischmann stood a long last eighth drive outstaying Belle Juan. The latter moved up fast when turning for home and was under a keen drive in the last hundred yards. Badger Girl finished going fast. Bernice showed some early speed as did Hindilene. Overweights — Hindilene, 3 pounds; Lady Free Knight, 1; Lucretia M., 2. Lady Free Knight, show, out. Favonius, off well in his stride displayed keen speed, but despite Dominicks efforts in the closing strides tired. Bondage came with a rush at the end and would have been second in a few more strides. Major Tenny finished going fast and ran an impressive race. Albula was the victim of a poor ride. Walsh lost control of him while going down the backstretch The horse can do better. Marco tired fast in the last eighth struggle, but ran a good race at that Joe Martin was well beaten when a furlong out. The latter ran a good race, but tired fast in the closing strides. John A, Clarke was pocketed badly at the last eighth post. When he got clear sailing he finished going fast. Alma Girl as usual showed much speed, but tired when the pinch came. Malay showed a little early speed. Corrected weights — Bonnie Lissak, 107. Overweights — Malay, 4 pounds.
