Sararose Avas moving Avhen the barrier Avent up and got away running, raced along with Gold Piece to the turn into the homestretch Avhere she swerved over and bumped the latter and Avon out in a fierce drive. Gold Piece Aras knocked oft her stride, but came again at the end and Avas Avearing the Avinner down when she took a tired swerve in the last twenty yards. Scully snatched Morning Star up at the start and this put her out of the struggle, but she made up considerable ground. Scratched— 3SS14 Comora, 105. Overweights — Sararose, 3 pounds; Gold Piece, 1. Little Duchess II. had to go all around her field to get up, raced Choice and AVedding March into submission in the first half and drew away AVhile rounding the turn into the homestretch, but had to he shaken up at the end to stall off Lou AVoods. The latter closed a big gap and finished going fast, caught Tom Kingsley tiring at the end and outgamed him in the final driA*e. Tom Kingsley ran the best race he has shown in some time. Choice tired badly in the stretch. Silk Cord shOAved a high order of speed, set a fast pace throughout and Avas never in trouble. AVoodlake had a rough trip, A*as cut off at the half mile post and knocked back, then came again gamely, but Avas driving to the limit at the end to stall off Jiminez. The latter Avas carried Avide at the first turn, but closed a big gap and finished *ery fast and was Avearing the leaders doAvn at the end. Henry Burt and AVainamoinen Avere used up in chasing Silk Cord in the first three-quarters and both tired in the stretch driAe. Florizar Avas kicked on the hock by Uledi Avhile at the post. Mendon Avas used up chasing Prince Rupert and took a tired swerve at the sixteenth post and crowded the AVinner to the fence. Prince Rupert broke well in motion and showed a lot of speed, but tired Avhen challenged. Leech neAer seemed able to get into his stride. This Avas not his race. Requisite Avas bumped into at the start and croAvded back, but made up a lot of ground. This looks like a good colt and is worth remembering. OverAAeights — Leech, 2 pounds. Rainland, sIioav, out. Bensonhurst raced Tavo Lick and Harlem Lane to subjection in the first three furlongs and opened up a Avinning lead Avhile rounding the far turn, but Avas doing his best at the end to stall off Talpa. The latter finished very fast and would probably have AAon in another twenty yards. Two Lick showed speed, but Avas tiring at the end. Harlem Lane Avas crowded back at the turn out of the backstretch. Scratched— 3S860 Poor Boy, 87. OverAvelghts — Talpa, 3 pounds; Two Lick, 4. Bensonhurst, shoiv, out. Talpa, show, 2 to 1.
