Kings Pet, off badly and badly ridden, went around the field on the turn and coming through the stretch with a rush won drawing clear and was much the best. Immortelle came fast in the stretch, but was given a very bad ride and weak finish. Dr. Carrick ran to his best form. Crutchfleld got off badly. Hengist and Hansborough showed speed for six furlongs. Kilo was pinched off sharply soon after the start, but did not run his race. Gus Heidorn quit in the stretch and had no mishaps. Pinky B. ran a fairly good race. Dolly Gray seemed to be doing her best, but was crowded and did not run to her true form. Kittie Cut a Dash showed the most early speed, but tired and swerved in the stretch causing considerable crowding and bumping. Jack Demund took the lead on the first turn and opened up a big gap on the far turn but was tiring fast at the end and barely lasted out. Port Royal .was best, but was not given an insistent ride. He was merely cantering most of the way, but was going fast at the end. Chappaqua was not a contender so far as the leaders were concerned, but ran third without any great effort. Flintlock finished fast. Kaffir was given a very easy race. It would be well to disregard this race when figuring form. Scratched— 387462Jordan, 110; 387112Albert F.
