At post 2 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second driving. Ethel Davis was on the outside of the leaders to the stretch turn, finished fast and was going away at the end. Jigger was crowded back at the start, but made up a lot of ground and outgamed Governor Sayres in the final drive. The latter was used up in chasing Ailyar in the first part of the race and tired when the pinch came. Ailyar broke well in motion and showed early speed, but tired and quit. Won easily; second the same. Roberts on Mizzen Mast saved ground all the way, came through with him on the inside at the turn into the homestretch, outgamed Rainland and won going away. The .latter got away all tangled up and closed a big gap, but the effort told at the end and he tired. Copper made up a lot of ground from a bad beginning. Aimless wds never in trouble. Davis took her back for the first half and went to the front ■ on the far turn and was going away at the finish. Welsh Girl and Binehelio fought it out all last quarter, the former staying best. The weight told on Binehelio at the end. Adel-ante ran much below his best form. Scully rushed Snow Cap to the front on the turn into the homestretch, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off May Combs. The latter closed a big gap, finished fast and was wearing Snow Cap down at the end and ran like a good filly. Soufriere showed the most early speed and is a rapid breaker, but was tiring at the end. Eva Claire ran very -green and got away tangled up. She is sure to improve over this race. Scratched— Belltoone, 110; Lora, J., 110. Snow Cap, show, 2 to 1. May Combs, show, 4 to 5. Won driving; second handily. ; Pourquois Pas was crowded back at the first turn and had to go all around the leaders to get up, but saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and was under a hard drive at the end to stall off Senor. The latter was in close quarters next to the inside rail on the backstretch and was cut off at the far turn and lost a couple of lengths and would have won but for the interference. St. Hera was under a hard drive all through the last quarter and was tiring at the end. Sinner Simon came with a rush at the end and closed a big gap. Belle Mahone and Extol showed early speed. Luralighter showed a fine order of speed, raced Mary Glenn to defeat in the first half and. had enough in reserve at the end to stall off Mary Lavana. The latter got caught in a jam at the start, came wide at the turn into the homestretch and tired in the last sixteenth. Mary Glenn could not concede the weight asked and tired.
