Louis Wagner improved suddenly, ran fvgood race and challenged strongly in the last eighth but Troxler outfinished Hall. Father Wentker displayed fine speed, was cut off at the three-eighths, then came resolutely in the stretch and finished going fast. Elastic did his best E. Trotter and Co. entry, show, 2 to 5. Lunar was perfectly ridden and reserved to the stretch, where she quickly drew to the front and won easing up. Pathos was poorly ridden and had a rough trip, but showed speed and bumped his way through the field and might have won had Bridwell not allowed him to swerve in the stretch. Sardian ran in improved form. Pirateer, off badly, ran a winning race from where he got off. Varner showed immense improvement and will do to watch. The Messenger was prominent for six furlongs, but was cut off and taken back and will win presently. Scratched— 39085 Chorus Boy, 111; 3915C Lasso, 109; 39088 St. Vitus, 91. Lunar, show, out.
