Won easily; second the same. Murmur showed surprising speed, wore John Drake down while rounding the far turn and came away alone in the stretch run. Blackmore got away all tangled up and closed a big gap, but tired when strongly called on. Baron Knight did his best and had no mishaps. John Drake showed a lot of early speed, but quit badly. The Boer ran as if he outclassed his field, opened up a winning lead while rounding the far turn and was only cantering at the end. Jigger finished well and outgamed The Common when it came to the final drive. The latter showed early speed, but tired as if short. Glenwood was much used in chasing Mary Glenn and tired when the final drive came. Boaster made up ground and finished fast. Bummer H. closed a big gap, but was tiring after getting to the leaders.
