Orleans set the pace on sufferance to the three-eighths, where she cut Ladas off and sained three lengths advantage, which stood her in good stead as she was tiring and all «ut at the end. Ladas was injudiciously ridden and Dale allowed hiin to be cut off at the three-eighths. He was apparently beaten in the last hundred yards, but rallied and would have won in a few more strides. Leonid stumbled after the start and made up a lot of ground, but tired in the closing strides. Lunar found the cuppy track trying. She wants =a fast track.
