Prosador broke last and had to work his way through the field, wore down the leaders on the far turn and won going away. Savond was easily the best of the others and finished last. Fiorenza came fast on the turn, but weakened when the pinch came. Kiwasa showed early speed, but quit when challenged. Homily quit. Overweights — Savond, 2 pounds." Prosador, show, 4 to 5. Yeremi was off well in motion and showed the most early speed, but had to be driven to the limit to beat out Malakoff at the end. The latter came very fast in the last furlong and would have won in another stride. Toomany ran an impressive race, was off poorly and "had to go all around his field to get up and was right up with the leaders at the finish. San Marino was pocketed all the way. Overweights — J. I. A.utolight was saved for the final drive, came fast through the stretch and finished gamely. Merriments improvement was as sudden. She displayed much speed and appeared like ;a sure winner at the furlong post, but tired at the end. Glenwood was cut off on the far turn and finished fast when clear. Butter Scotch tired in the final sixteenth. Drummond and Tioga quit in the stretch. Overweights — Butter Scotch, 2 pounds. Autolight, show, out. Merriment, show, evens. Glenwood, show, 8 to 5. Carl Kahler showed speed, but weakened at the finish. Sardine was hustled along all the way. Harlem Lane swerved to the inside in the last sixteenth. Whiskey King ran as if sour. The latter finished fast and would have been first in a few more strides. Conley rode a listless race on him. Blackmore finished well and got third place in the last stride. Velasquez came very wide at the turn into the homestretch. • Edgefield ran a good half. Loiter showed speed. Overweights — Ed L., 3 pounds. Ed L., show, 1 to 2. Ailyar, show, 3 to 5. Snare was crowded back at the far turn and had to come around the leaders to get up, but finished fast and outgamed Animosity. The latter saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and finished next to the Inside rail and tired when the deciding drive came. The Stewardess showed the most early speed, but tired when in the final drive. Picktime was used up in chasing The Stewardess and quit. Scratched — 10123 Tommy Hill, 101. It was close for thir"d place, Bellcourt taking it in the last stride. The saddle on Provost slipped and he threw his rider at the tenth jump, crashing him into the wing.
