Ocyrohe was well ridden, broke running and maintained his lead to the end without trouble. Comora ran a resolute race under a weak ride. Benton showed speed, but tired in the stretch run. Rhyme and Reason was given a very bad ride and was not extended at any part of the race. Tiomaine was inadequately handled. Allegrette Avas off tangled up and never had a chance to show her speed. Ocyrohe, show, 6 to 5. Comora, show, 3 to 2. Benton, show, 6 to 5. SECOND RACE— 3-4 Mile. Poseur quickly assumed the lead and held it throughout unchallenged, but was tiring at the end. Montana Peeress ran a good race throughout and finished very fast under a weak ride. Finn displayed a good turn of speed, was driven to the limit early and ran away from his field and won easing up. Brilliants ran a good race and outstayed Check Morgan in a long stretch drive.Check Morgan was hustled all the way and fully ran her race. Hugh McGowan finished well. Foxy Grandpa tired. Bell the Cat ran a dull race. Tom Kileys race was far from his true form. This is a good colt and will bear watching. Don Alvaro has gone off, looks gaunt and quit badly after following the leaders for a half. Huckleberry Finn, show, G to 1. Brilliants, show, 4 to 5. Check Morgan, show, evens. Don Alvaro, show, out. Bas dOr was best, but Calvit became overconfident, eased up his mount at the eighth post and was all but overhauled by Eda Riley. The latter finished with her usual gameness after being outrun by everything in the race on the backstretch. Bengal ran poorly and his three races in four days must have taken the edge off his speed. Chandoo was vigordusly ridden all the way and finished fast under a good ride. Leonid covered a-lot of extra ground by running in the track center, came fast on the turn, but ■weakened In the stretch run. His wind is affected. Judge Cantrill was weakly ridden, but ■was running past horses at the end. The Fiddler went well throughout. Overweights— Brown Vail, 2 pounds, Pierce J., show, 1 to 2. Brown Vail, show, 4 to 5.
