BOWLING BROOK YEARLINGS SOLD. The yearlings from the Bowling Brook Stud of A. H. and D. H. Morris, and the Eaton Stud of A. Albright, Jr., were disposed of at auction Thursday, July 2, at the Fasig-Tipton paddocks, Sheepshead Bay. Fine prices were realized for some of the Morris lot. In the entire sale sixteen youngsters brought 9,150, an average of about ,197. The star of the lot was a half brother to j the Futurity winner, Tankee, and Stripes, he being by Bowling Brook or Filigrane— Correction. There was some lively bidding for the colt between Fred Burlew, representing John E. Madden, and C. O. Climpson. Madden finally got him for ,000. He also bought two others. Tom Welch, acting for Julius Fleischmann, went to 54,000 for a half brother to The Friar and Hanbver Queen, but C. O. Climpson secured him with an advance of 0. The colt is by Galore or Filigrane— Lizzie Baker. The Gold Crest and Affect colt, owned by W. L. Powers, went to Frank Brown for ,900. The full report of the sale follows: Property of A. H. and D. H.
