Won easily; second the same. • Sammie Mac showed the most speed and Walsh took no chances, kept her going all the J wav and won with plenty in reserve. President ran a good race and was only cantering r for the first half, but tired when called on. He was probably a bit short and the race should improve him. Helen Oakford finished fast. Prosador raced Not Wisely Glenwood was in a soft spot and fairly to subjection in the stretch run and got second place without i-JSPiSawS lack while rounding the far turn and came again at the end. Lochgoil was easily the best and held his field safe at all stages. Zarkee wore down George James and Dick Ripley in the stretch and had no trouble in securing second place Dick Ripley was under a drive all of the last furlong. Caybon had to go all around his horses and could not get up. George James seems to have a streak of "yellow" in his composition. * Scratched — 101713Irene Cross, 100. This was his "prep" for the Canadian Derby at Fort Erie. He began slowly, but easily ran past his horses at the end, finishing witii plenty in reserve. Soothsayer ran well and was best of the others. He and Flora Will-oughby fought it out all through the stretch, with the latter on the outside and Soothsayer proved best. Flora Willoughby finished gamely. Luralighter showed decided improvement over her last effort, but tired in the run home, too much use having been made of her in the first part of the race. Fortunatus raced Flaneur and Fairbury into subjection and came away without muck effort in the last furlong, showing great improvement over his late previous efforts Flaneur and Fairbury fought it out for second place and the former had the most left at the end. Springwater was well ridden, wore down Reeves and Lome in the stretch and got up is the last stride. Tribes finished fast and was fighting it out with- the winner at the end. Homily was doing his best and had no mishaps. Reeves ran a good race, but was probably-short as he tired at the end. Lome quit after showing speed in trying to keep pace witit Reeves. Kite was off poorly and Walsh did not persevere with her. Corrected weights — Reeves, 110. Springwater, show, evens. Tribes, show, 3 to 1. Homily, show, 2 to 1. Reeves, show out.
