Our XJllle broke tangled up, but soon rushed to the leaders and was waited with to the last eighth, then. drew away easily. Lady Thistle beat the barrier, showed much early speed and had no mishaps. Lady Fonse ran to her best form. Overhand went all around the fields and ran a winning race from where she got off. Pilgrim Girl had bad racing luck and can do better. A. Lynch. Went to post at 2:41. At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second easily. Harry Beck was in a pocket to the stretch, then had to come wide, but closed up fast and won going away. General Prig showed sudden and remarkable improvement, displayed great speed and seemingly tired in the stretch, but came agairt at the end. Mr. Phinizy was well ridden, had no mishaps and led at the last sixteenth, then tired. Boutonniere was standing still when the barrier went up and ran a winning race from where she got off. Won handily; second easily. Maltster broke well in motion with Frank Bell, and as they were off in front of the field, it was a two horse race all the way. Maltster was waited with to the stretoh, then came on and won with plenty in reserve. Frank Bell ran to his best form. Lady Idris was off badly and ran the race of her life, going the long way. Lasso was badly bumped at the start, but went around the leaders in the first, half, was then seemingly beaten at the eighth post, but came again and outgamed Pierce J. at the end. The latter had no mishaps and seemed to be a sure winner to the last hundred yards, where he swerved out under the whip. Helen Print ran a. fairly good race, but can do better.
