STILL RULED OFF. Yesterday the stewards of the Western Jockey Club came to the relief of the officials of the Harlem Jockey Club by refusing to recognize the reinstatement of D. J. Lynch, C. Lind and jockey Treanor, and ordered that they stand ruled off the turf. This was action that will meet approval and redounds to the crdit of the governing organization of the western turf. It is vigorous notice that outside local influence will not be allowed to debase Chicago racing. No less could have been expected from the Stewards of the Western Jockey Club and no men should be more pleased because of this action than the officials whose convictions are thus sustained and made effective. The stewards took no action about the matter of dates for the Hot Springs meeting. It was not to be expected. The dates question will be satisfactorily adjusted at the December meeting. The officials of the Hot Springs Jockey Club are satisfied with the situation and did not expect action in the way of granting a license until the December meeting. They will be treated fairly and know it. Ill informed and mischievous writers here and there have been attempting to engender trouble about this matter. It is a waste of time and words.
