LATONIA STAKES. The Latonia Jockey Club has announced its list of stakes for its spring meeting of 1904 and also the Latonia Derby and Oaks of 1905. Entries will close January 16, and the list is as follows: For spring meeting 1904 The Clipsetta Stakes, for fillies two-year-olds; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ?1,000 added, of which 50 to second and 0 to the third. Five furlongs. The Harold Stakes, for colts two-year-olds; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ,000 added, of which 50 to the second and 0 to the third. Five furlongs. The Cincinnati Trophy, a sweepstake for colts and fillies two-year-olds; 0 to accompany the nomination; 0 additional to start; ,000 added, of which 50 to second and 50 to third. In addition to the first money and stakes, the winner will receive a silver cup donated by Hon. Julius Fleisch-mann. Five and a half furlongs. The Merchants Stakes, a selling sweepstake for three-year-olds and upward; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ,250 added, of which 00 to second and 00 to third. One mile. The Brewers Exchange Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ,250 added, of which 00 to second and 00 to third. Six furlongs. The Decoration Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ,500 added, of which 00 to second and 00 to third. One mile and a sixteenth. The Cincinnati Hotel Spring Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward; to accompany the nomination; 5 additional to start; ,250 added, of which 00 to second and 00 to third. One mile and an eighth. The Kentucky Steeplechase, a handicap for three-year-olds and upward; to accompany the nominotion; 0 additional to start; ,000 added, of which 00 to second and 00 to third. Clubhouse course, about one mile and three quarters. For spring meeting 1905 The Latonia Derby, for three-year-olds foals of 1902 at 00 each, 0 forfeit, 5 I if declared on or before August, 1, 1904, 0 if declared on or before April 1, 1905 money to accompany declarations or they will not be accepted; ,500 added, of which 00 to the second and 00 to the third. Winners of a sweepstake in 1905 of the value of ,500, 3 lbs.; of two such or one of ,000, 5 lbs. extra. Non-winners of a sweepstake in 1905 allowed 5 lbs., and if not placed in a sweepstake, S lbs.; maidens, if never placed in a sweepstake, 12 lbs.
