Adams was under restraint In the early stages, but after taking the fifth jump moved up to the leaders and, soon going to the front, easily outstayed Milas to the finish. Milas put up a good performance for his first effort of the season, but tired in the final drive. Decimo went well, but failed when called , on in the. last quarter. Babe B. ran in much improved form and managed to outlast Monsie Moble. The latter was off poorly, but came fast in the stretch and would have been second in a few more strides. Henchman showed superior early speed, but tired under punishment in the stretch. Colonel Bronston ran a good half and seems to Ik? improving. Jack Hennessy quit cold in the stretch. Stoessel, running in something like his true form today, followed Starling closely to the stretch and, wearing her down after a sharp drive, won drawing clear. Starling showed the most early speed and hung on gamely through a hard stretch drive. Ossian, probably worth close watching, came fast through the stretch. Search Me ran a good half and tired. Rodolfo finished gamely. Overweights Ossian. 3 pounds.
