BLACKST0CK IS DESTROYED. New York, February 1. Blackslock. the seven-year-old son of Hanover and Maiiuic Hiuiyar sister to Domino was destroyed at Frank C. Bishops Millstream Stud near Mount Kfseo "last Sunday. In some unaccouutablc manner the horse broke his leg while In his stall and destruction was necessary. At the dispersal sale of the late W. C. Whitneys establishment in October, 1904, Mr. Bishop purchased Blackstock for ,000. He made bis first season in the stud last spring and shortly after his death the first foal got by him was dropped. The horse had been Insured, but the policy expired a short time before his death and had not been renewed. Handspring will be shipped from Kentucky to take the place of Blackstoue at Mount Kisco. Tom Welsh, who trains the horses of Mr. Bishop and Andrew Miller, will go to Lexington to see to the shipment of Handspring, which is now at H. P. Headleys Beaumont Farm.
