Mazapan opened a big lead early in the race, and appeared the winner, but tired In the stretch drive. Happy Lad went well throughout. My Surprise ran disappointingly. The latter also ran In Improved form and easily disposed of Plnta in the stretch. Pinta showed the most early speed, but failed to stay the route. Bailey ran a fairly good race.
