Bohemia, beginning slowly and outpaced in the early running, came very fast in the last quarter. Roseben, after being placed in the rear under a choking pull, came with a belated end rush. Diamond Flush showed superior early speed, but was carried out on the turn by Roseben and lost considerable ground. Belle of Portland displayed brilliant early speed and held on gamely at the end. Monet was badly messed about. Clnna ran on the outside in a pocket and had scant chance. Jennie Mc-Cabe ran in forward contention from the start, forged to the front on the first turn and never relinquished her advantage afterwards, stalling off James Roddicks end challenge in the gamest fashion. The latter trailed in the rear for seven furlongs, then moved up rapidly, appearing momentarily able to take the lead in the last furlong, but tired finally. Angler, under a pull, set the pace for a quarter, was then taken up and reserved, which enabled him to earn third place at the end. Bragg dropped back earlv and could never get up. Bulls Eye disliked the golug and was outpaced from the start, loomed up momentarily on the far turn, but tired in the stretch. Belle of Pequest dropped to the rear on the first turn, gained rapidly In the middle half and then quit badly. The Clown, a fast non-stayer, showed extra good speed for six furlongs. Adoration was under pressure from the start to hold her position, but at the end .of three furlongs gave way and fell back and was palpably handicapped by the going. Jack McKeon, from a lucky start, ran in close pursuit of the pacemaker for six furlongs, then took the lead in the stretcli and won a lucky race. Glen Echo, away slowly on the outside, ran hopelessly wide throughout and was much the best, but lost through a bad ride. Lawsonian, lightly weighted and lucky at the start, made the running for nearly seven furlongs lie fine he tired and was a lucky third. Adbell, away poorly and in close quarters throughout, came along with a belated rush at the end. Del Carina, away poorly, closed a big gap. Sir Caruthers made up ground throughout from a bad start. Allow-maise raced into a quick lead on the outside and won all the way like a good one. Malacca was the only serious contender and beat Jlie others oft for second place. Alpenmarchen got away badly and closed a big gap. Little Minister lost ground early and. when gaining rapidly on the last turn, bolted to the outside and ceased to be dangerous, but tinlshed well.
