Lutie Mac broke in front and, showing the most sliced, hugged the rail throughout, winning with all ease. Vestryman was caught in a jam shortly after the start and pulled up, but he agaiu secured a contending position at the half-mile post and was hard ridden the rest of the way, but could not catch the winner. Proforma acted crazily at the post, but ran a good race, finishing fast. Merllene met with much interference, but with clear sailing In the stretch, came on with a rush. Massey ran well. Governor Orman was raced into defeat by Lady Henrietta and was tiring fast at the. finish. Crowshaile. ran in blinkersJ"ailed to,jiuil; nl his race was a good one. Capercailzie ran a noteworthy race. Bon Mot was outrun in the first part of the nice, but closed up fast in the final eighth and was weariiig the winner down at the end. St. Tammany closed up on Hans Wagner on the stretch turn and seemed dangerous, but tired in the stretcli drive. Beknighted was overweighted and ran poorly. " Scratched ilS" Factotum. u!. Wabash Queen was on the outside on the backstretcb and was pocketed when straightened out for home. Miss Lhla showed early speed, but quit quickly. Ingenue ran a dull race. Shineon challenged at the head of the stretch, but soon fell back completely beaten; Petit Ducran a game race and should win when properly placed. Monte Carlos effort ended early. Lemon Girl waa under restraint for six furlongs, then went to the front and opened up a winning lead, which she maintained to the end. Scalplock. after overcoming some early interference, elosed quite a gap and finished gamely under punishment. Attila was allowed to drop far out of contention- and, after trailing to the stretcli, finished with a rush, would have been second in another stride and could have won off. Brand New ran a good race and is about due. Celebration can do better. Pittkln made the early running, but quit after going three-quarters. Potrero Grande quit.
