GOOD PILOT MAKES MUCH DIFFERENCE. The value of a good jockey to a good l-orse war strikingly Illustrated in Rams Horns last two races. With Perrine up, he was unplaced In the rich Commonwealth Handicap. With Shaw in the saddle, he easily accounted for the much l-ss valuable Bay Ridge Handicap. Had Shaw ridden him In lie Commonwealth it is quite within the range of legibilities that he would have won It also. Given n competent rider he should prove hard to leat in the Brighton Handicap next Saturday, being now evidently in his best form.
