Miss Martha began slowly, but saved ground on the turns, raced Crip into subjection and won with plenty In reserve. Reside, as usual, began slowly and was interfered with repeatedly and In a pocket to the 3tretclt turn, came fast when clear and outgamed Miss Cesarion In the final stride. Miss Cesarion was much used In chasing Crip in the early stages and tired but outstayed the latter at the end. Crip showed speed, but tired and can do better. Alsono was saved from the early pace, ran in behind the pacemakers until well around the far turn, caught Merllene In the last sixteenth, raced her into exhaustion and had enough left to stall off Oratorlan. The latter, off in the rear division and In a pocket to the far turn, when clear moved up resolutely, finished fast and, with good racing luck, would have won. Merllene showed the most early speed, but tired in the last sixteenth. Sharp Boy had no mishaps and ran away a mile after the finish. Hubaiyat quit badly In the stretch. Bugler began slowly and trailed for three-quarters, then moved up fast in the stretch and was easily best of the others. Bery Waddell ran in improved form and finished gamely. Boola sprinted away from her opponents in the first quarter and opened a winning lead, but had to be hustled at the end to stall off Renraw. Renraw was well rated and saved front the early pace and, after rounding the stretch turn, moved up fast and gamely and would have won had the distance been a hale furlong .further.- Edward Wilder ran a good race and just outlasted De Oro for third place. The latter set a fast pace, but failed to stay.and tired badly in the last eighth. Clmthyra showed early speed. The others were always outrun. Many Thanks raced forward ly. set a fast pace and tired very badly in the last sixteenth, but was much the best of the others. Mag Nolln Vegan slowly and made up n lot of ground from a bad beginning. Lady .Tocelyn finished fast. Bonnie Reg was outrun all the way nnd his race should uot be considered.
