Hclmuth, away well, skillfully ridden and showing superior speed, led throughout and won well in hand. Hereafter rushed into a contending position from, the start and stood the final drive gamely. Princess Marie came from a long way back after suffering from interference and finished fast C-nuillc had no mishaps and ran poorly. Frank Bill ran as if much the best and spreadeagled the others, winning hard held all the way and easing up in the final furlong. Lidwina ran well and stood a hard drive resolutely. Fugurtha, poorly handled and going wide most of the way, was gaining steadily through the stretch run and out gained Lightbiim at the end. The latter ran a good race and had to overcome interference. Fargo had uo mishaps. McCutcheu was almost thrown on the first turn and ran a fairly good race. Scratched C3221 Skyte, 95. Overweights Frauk Bill, 2 pounds; Lidwina, 2; Blucher, 5. Mend-owbreeze, away forwardly, set the pace at his riders will and led steadily under restraint, coming away in the stretch and winning as his rider elected. Miss Doyle was sharply impeded on the first turn, then moved up resolutely, but suffered again from crowding and had to go around Nine into the stretch, finished fast under punishment, but was not good enough today to beat the winner. Alma Dufour was deficient in speed and lagged badly to the stretch turn, where she moved up, but her effort today was a poor one and her shipping to Fort Erie and back may have staled her. Subador showed the most early speed and hung on gamely in th" final drive. Jim Tyrrell ran a poor race and had no mishaps. Naran blundered repeatedly at the jumps and showed good speed ou the flat. Billy Wake tired badly after going one round of the field. Modredlnw ran with a choppy stride and was sore when going to the post. Pittites Dance fell at the last jump In tlie field. Six Shooter, running kindly today, far outclassed the others and won as his rider pleased. Intense had a rough trip and finished going fast. Scotcli Dance, .clear of interference, showed much speed and set a fast pace, but tired after going three-quarters. The Englishman ran a good race and was right there all the way. Mlladi Love was going fast at the end. Amberlta ran a bad race and was given a timid ride. Marsh Kedou was almost thrown on the lower turn and had scant chance thereafter, Daly easing him up through the stretch. Scratched 04125 ZInda, 105; 04120 The Only Way, 110; C3S31Knowledge, 110. Granada showed superior speed and but for excessive use In ths early stages might have won. Captain Bush was well ridden, had no mishaps and was not good enough. Uncle Henry ran a fairly good race and will improve. Marshal Ney came from a long way back in the stretch and finished fast. Bitter Brown suffered from crowding.
