Plausible outbroke and outpaced the others, but finished tiring and scored a lucky victory. Mintberla, away badly, rapidly improved her position after being shut off on the far turn and carried very wide, finished with a whirlwind rush and just failed to get up. Tllelng, from a good start, ran in close pursuit of the winner throughout, but tired right at the end. Sylvan Dixon Improved her position throughout into a close up fourth. Berkeley, shuttled to the rear at the start, closed a big gap in the last half. Mariposa, nearly left, made up much ground. Campaigner showed early speed, but failed to stay. Mitre got away poorly and closed a big gap In the middle running, but tired right at the end of a good race. Dele Strome was knocked back early. Fay is best In mud. Maximilian cntpaced and outjumped the others for two miles and then began to tire and was being overhauled when Allegiance fell and after that came home alone. Buckman showed superior early speed, is promising and would have been closer up but for a costly blunder at the end of the. first mile. Red Warrior is a novice and was beaten off from the start. Allegiance, when gaining, rapidly on the leader, fell at the second from the last jump and would surely have won had he stood up. Scratched 628293The Claimant. 149. d. Anneta Lady, from a good start, was slightly outpaced in the early running, but came like a shot in the stretch, won going away and is a greatly improved filly. Rusk ran on the extreme outside throughout, tired at the end as if short and his race should be thrown out. Varletes ran forwardly from the start and finished very gamely. Brush Up. failed to stay and was palpably short. Teacress got awav poorly and journeyed in the deep going all the. way and can do much better. Firebrand probably dlslikod the cuppy going and tired at the end of five furlongs. Prince Brutus was not fit and can do much betfer. Salvldere received a flying start and set the pace throughout, shook: off Aletheuo and Don Enrique and drew out to win as his rider pleased. Don Enrique, away badly and tangled up in the early running, closed a big gap in the middle running, gamely stood a long closing drive and ran a splendid race. Aletheuo was In close and strenuous pursuit of the winner from the start and ran an exceptionally game race. Clara Huron, nearly left, made up a lot of ground after trying to run out on the far turn. Royal Breeze ran forwardly all the way and finished gamely. Eddie Ware was sore and ran a bad race, went hopelessly wide on the far turn and was badly messed about. Athlete rau under a pull in close pursuit of the pacemaker, challenged at the half and drew out in the stretch, winning with plenty to spare, shows steady improvement and may develop iuto a one. Water Dog, awav poorly, raced up to the leaders at the half; then fell back on the turn and came again. Retting up for second place in the last stride. Pater made the early running and ran head and head with the favorite for three-quarters, then turned for home very wide and iltdshed tiring and boring out. Hallowmas kept well up all the way and was going fast at the end. Martin Doyle was outpaced in the early running, but finished well. Chimney Sweep tired in the last quarter as if short, but looks very good. Samson found the journey too short. Stoic ran throughout in close and game pursuit of the winner and showed vast improvement. Saylor ran forwardly and finished gamely. Holscher, a slow beginner, got -away very badly and Improved Lis position and loomed up momentarily in the stretch, but quit unexpectedly right at the end. Fatlnltza was never dangerous despite an alert and vigorous ride. Johnstown ran poorly and was handicapped by the deep going. At Dawn can do better. Scratched 63S953Mina Gibson, 103.
