OBERT IS REPORTED TO HAVE CONFESSED. Louisville, Ky., September 25. There Is a rumor goins the rounds to the effect that jockey Obert, suspended the closing day at Latonia for a faulty ride on Coruscate, had sent a confession to Judge Macfarlan last night at Memphis, Tenh. It Is said that he implicates a well-known bookmaker. It Is alleged that Obert declares that he received 00 shortly after the race with which to travel to New York and there remain until the matter could blow over. Obert got as far as Cincinnati only and on his demand for more money, It Is. said, received an additional 00.
