Ace High jumped into the lead at the Starr and won all the way like a coming good one. Prince Hampton was always in nearest attendance on the leader and finished a game second. Philander was pulled up at the start, closed a tremendous gap and was going like a cyclone at the end and much the best. Ethon suffered from crowding at the start and worked through a rough journey thronghout, .but ran a poor race. Theyre Off ran forwardly for five furlongs and tired under his big weight and can do better. The Wrestler was never dangerous and finished boring out. Edward Everett was knocked to the rear early. Ed Ball got away slowly, but rapidly moved up and, assuming the lead at tbe half, came on and won as his rider pleased. John Lyle had r. good start and a fav.orable position in the early running, but was unable to make any impression on the leader in the last quarter. Neptunus suddenly regained his speed and, after going the first half, held a long -lea over the others for third place. Commune steadily. improved her position and was going well in the stretch. Schoolmate went well and favors a longer distance. Society Bud set the early pace, but egaln failed to stay. Woolwich was pulled up at the start and his rider made very little effort afterwards. Frank Lord decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed his opponents and won off pulled up. Killochan broke slowlv, but closed up quickly on the leader and put up a close pursuit to the stretch, where he tired and barely saved second place. Tilelng ran forwardly from the start and finished gamely. Mintberla began slowly and steadily improved her position, finishing like a shot. Acrobat, shut off early, ran forwardly throughout and is in good form. Kilter was going well at the end. Shackle finished well up and came fast from the rear. Belcast was shut off at the start. Won driving; second and third, the same. Coy Maid, from a Hying start, was reserved in nearest attendance on Dolly Spanker and finally caught him tiring right at the end and scored a lucky win. Dolly Spanker was injudiciously rushed into a long lead and made the running to the final fifty yards before he tired and was best. Good Luck was well placed from the start and came along gamely on the Inside in the last quarter and was going fast at the finish. Cottontown ran forwardly for the first mile and tired under his heavy weight. Dandelion, badly messed about and frequently pulling up, closed up fast in-the last half. Lleber, away poorly, closed a big gap. Ostrich got away badly and had no chance. Cederstrome also got away badly and was far outclassed. Nealon has palpably trained off. Oxford ran poorly. Shot Gun was given a good send-off and was sent along from the start and, running lapped on Penrhyn to the stretch, outstayed him and stood off Belle Stromes fast rush. Belle Strome, under a pull, maintained close pursuit of the leaders from the start, but failed to get up under a weak ride. Penrhyn showed Improvement and set a fast pace, was pinned in next to the rail all of the last quarter, ran a remarkably fast and same race and should have won. Handzarra got away poorly and was carried wide on the turns and finished fast. Columbia Girl held a forward position throughout apd ran a remarkably good race. Van Ness, away poorly, closed a gap. Mhitia was in close quarters and improved his position from a poor start. Right and True lacked speed. Pinkerton was short. Robin Hood quit. Lady Prudence, from a good start, was reserved in close pursuit of the pacemaker for six furlongs, thou dashed into the lead on the last turn and won as her rider pleased. Bluestone, nearly left, closed an Immense gap and was probably best. Holscher also suffered at the start and made up a lot of ground. Miss Ogden was mishandled at all stages, pulled up and was then whipped Into the lead early and tired at the end. Locked Out ran well up for six furlongs and tired as if short. Supreme was outpaced and surrounded early and never dangerous. Overweights Lichtmess, 3 pounds.
