Slcamous was rated in behind the leaders until straightened out for the final run, then came fast under punishment and, wearing Doc Kyle down, got up in the last couple of strides. Doc Kyle had to go around on the outside to get to the front, raced Mirabel Into- defeat on the far turn and drew away when entering the homestretch, but was tiring in the last sixteenth. St. Jeanne ran a winning race, closed a big gap from a bad beginning and finished gamely under punishment. Mirabel showed early speed, but failed to stay. Refined rushed around the leaders in the first sixteenth and, sprinting into a winning lead on the -far turn, was eased up through the last sixteenth. Nioless ran well, fought it out gamely under punishment and McKinney outfinished Perrine in the final drive. Edwin H. was outrun the first three furlongs and came fast at the end, but Perrines finish was a weak one. Grafton ran well to the stretch and tired. Commodore Theln ran in much improved form. Merry Gqorge was very fractious at the post and broke from an inside position, but worked his way up on the outside on the far turn and, finishing fast, wore King Pepper down and outgamed him in the final drive. King Pepper outbroke the others and set a fast pace, but Swain was not strong enough to help him much when it came to the finish. Albula ran in much improved form, but tired from following the fast pace set by King Pepper. No Trumper did not run his best race. Embarrassment also ran below his true form. Rama rushed around the others in the run around the turn to the backstretch and, sprinting into a winning lead, held Oratorian safe all the way. Bon Mot dropped far hack on the backstretch, but came again at the end and finished fast after slipping througli next to the inside rail on the turn into the stretch. Oratorian was well in hand for the first half and moved up quickly while rounding the far turn, hut tired when it came to the stretch drive. Governor Orman sprinted into a winning lead on the far turn, but Fischer rode him out all through the last furlong after Ossineke challenged on the turn into the stretch. Robust, suddenly improved, saved ground all the way and outgamed Ossineke in the final drive. The latter was used up In following the last pace set by the winner, but shows steady improvement. Cicely was under punishment all of the last quarter. Lord of the Forest is a slow breaker and met with a lot of interference soon after the start. Scratched 62049 Hanthorne. 105. . Billy Benzing was hard ridden all the way and did his best, lint was always outrun. Ireland was caught in a jam at the start and crowded far back, closed a big gap and ran a winning race.
