TESTING MISSOURIS ANTI-BETTING LAW. Oldham Case, Is Argued and Submitted iu the Supremo Court at." Jefferson City.. St. Louis, Mo., October 11. A case which will test the .constitutionality of the law " passed by the last legislature making poolselling and the registration of wagers on horse races in this state a felony, was argued and submitted in the Missouri Supreme Court at Jefferson City today. The case came from Kansas City, where Charles Oldham was convicted and fined 00 for registering bets by telephone hi Kansas City. Kansas, on races which were run on the Elm Ridge race track in Kansas City. The indictment is attacked, on the ground that the law is unconstitutional and also that, if constitutional, registering beta outside of the state is no violation. Decision may be expected In thirty days.
