CELL A S HORSES AT MEMPHIS. Memphis, Tenn., November 15. Twelve yearling thoroughbreds, property of L. A. Cella, reached Montgomery Park today .from Belmont Park and were taken charge of by Henry McDaniel, who will train them for the next racing season. The consignment was in charge of Johnny Murphy, who has handled the Cella string during the summer months. Murphy reports an exciting experience at Belmont Park just before shipping. He said that one of the park policemen hearing a noise in the stable approached the stall occupied by a Meadowthorpe lilly and was shot at by people unknown, who it is charged were making an effort to steal the Cella juvenile, probably for "ringing" purposes in the future. The arrival of todays shipment increases the Cella string to thirty head and comprises one of the biggest strings in winter quarters here.
