Society Bud raced to her best form and was never far from the leaders, soon forged into the lead and, keeping it, won going away. Anna Smith was always in forward contention and outstayed Cinchona in a hard finish. The latter ran well, is Improving and may score soon. Kings Gem was well ridden and did his best. Gentian and Ueidmoore both quit badly after showing some speed. Hooray was in close quarters throughout and can do much better. Midas closed a gap and finished well. Cabochon was reserved to the stretch, then came away from his opponents, but his race was by no means an impressive one, for lie was doing his best and, with a less energetic ride, would have been Deaten. Pierrot showed a good turn of early speed and was always second best. Blue Book raced well and may improve. Narelle can do much better. The others are of little account. d K. M. ran a remarkably game race and. after cutting out all the pace, had enough left to withstand the resolute challenge of Onatas. The latter closed a gap and finished resolutely, but appeared to tire right at the end. Red Knight ran poorly, closed a gap in the stretch, but also tired right at the end. Azdina followed the leader closely to the stretch, where she quit badly. The others were never contenders. Lady Karma showed the most speed in the early stages, but was doing her best at the end and. with riders reversed, Old Colony would probably have won. The hitter ran an Impressive race, but Bilie was of little assistance in the final drive. Mary Hall ran a good race and will do to remember. Dissent had no mishaps and quit badly in the stretch. June Time closed a big gap from a bad beginning. Ailington ran fairly well. Luretta closed an early gap and, after racing Workman into defeat, gamely withstood a resolute challenge from Rather Royal. The latter was always In the front rank and finished well, but could not get up. Delphic came resolutely through the last stages of the race and her performance was ,a thoroughly good one. Grand Duchess showed speed, but tired badly at the end. Miller made his move too early with Workman and lie tired badly under his weight. Hooray was never a serious contender. Cederstrome quickly went into the lead and set the pace throughout, but swerved in the stretch and bumped and carried Banker out with him, for which he was disqualified. Banker was skillfully reserved and saved to the stretch, then came on fast. Solon Shingle ran a good, game race at the weights and only tired in the final sixteenth. Ormondes Right was a contender to the stretch, where, his big weight told. Palette ran fairly well. Scratched 55G30 Angler, 107; G5GG53Red Knight. 115.
