Aftermath ran well to the stretch, but tired slightly in the closing drive and is a supposed good one. Mitre dropped to the rear early and steadily improved his position in the last half. AI I.indlt-y showed early speed and unexpectedly quit at the end. Roalta, from a flyiug start, forced the early pact;, but quit and is still short. Kokomo was gaining fast in the last quarter. Galvestonian, from a striding start, dropped back quickly, but closed a big gap in the middle running, nnished fast and got up in the last stride of a terrific stretch drive. La Rose broke slowly, hut quickly got into forward contention, but tired and swerved in the last couple of strides and was disqualiti-d and placed last. Korosilany had a rough trip and. after gaining in the last half, was crowded to the inside-rail in the last sixteenth .and was lucky to be placed Ella True broke fast and set the pace. Irit was crowded out in the last furlong of a game and fast race. Coco finished will from a flatfooted inside start. Duke of Orleans got away poorly. Tetrazzini was palpably short.
