January S. — The annual meeting of the Jockey Clan attaihtis will U- held Thursday. together with an important session of the Hoard of stewards, while the National Steeplechase aad Hunt Association will also convene in annual stasloa. Thayer of Boston. Mr. Thayer had taken hut a passing interest in lac-lag since Mr. Chainhlcts retirement n an owner ; a big steeplechase stable. Previous to that both he and Kohcrt C. Hooper were on the hoard, hut with his resignation Bostoa has uo representative in the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association.
