Mr. lilies sis the beard will be hKreaatd and that John Cffioa, I.. A. Cella and himself will be the new directors. Asked regarding the rumors concerning the anial gamatiou of the Western Jockey Club and American Turf Association. Mr. Tilles said: "I know nothing of the matter other than what I read in the papers. Personally. I have never heard of a merger brief suggested, let alone discussed by those who would have to bring it about, and I cannot see where there is a call for one. It has always been my theory to let wall enough alone. New Orleans has never had so successful a racing season as is the present one. ami. judging from the nassber of eastern people that came in with me. it is going io get. better.
