FOUST BILLS IN THE HOUSE. Nashville, Tinn.. January 2ft.— The Fi.tist bills, the original measure which was passed by Ihe Senate January 25, and the second bill making ii a felony to keep a racetrack where gambling in anv form is permitted and which was passed unanimously by the Senate yesterday, had their first reading in the house today and will go to the judiciary committee after their second reading tomorrow. The house bill which was introduced by Representative Denham, of Memphis, yesterday, and which provides for a racing commission as a compromise for the Foust bills, had its second reading today and is now in the hands of tlie committee.
