Great Pirate, showing good form aud away iu a fotward iiosition. raced forwar.lly from the start, wore down Billy Bowlegs after going a quarter and had the race safely wou thereafter. Billy Bowlegs was right there most of the way and tired near the end. Rifle Range was shuttled hack soon after the start 9Bd had to go around the others on the stretch turn, bet finished gamely and outstayed Fina icier in th%? closing strides. The latter showed speed, but tired. Oar Boy ran a good race aud showed improvi meat. William Bissett had a rou-.h trip. Kxtry had scant chance with a lioor send off. The latter, away jioorly, had to go wide most of the way and moved into the lead after going a half, but fired near the end. Tivolini, much the best, was shuffled back soon after the start, had to lose a big gap and was going fastest at t.ie end. Doc Kyle ran airly well and had no mishaps. Cam Pan M interfered with iu the stretch drive. Dr. Hart had scant chance under poor handling and almost eaaaafl a jam iu the stretch by swerving all over the track.
