LEXINGTON MEETING UNCERTAIN. Lexington. Ky., March «.— The racing stables of W. II. I.audeman. T. C. McDowell and H. M. Ziegler will lie shipped from here to New York betweea .March :* and April 1. There are now ;;7s horses in training at the Kentucky Association course. Little work has been done this week. The Hack is muddy. It is by no means a certainty that a meeting will lie held beM this spring. There appears lo be no concerted local endeavor in that direction. The breeders, on a proposition of putting up n ey, are as tight as ever. If the meeting is held it will l c under outaide management and backing. The lease of the American Turf Association on the grounds expires April 1 and it has been stated that the trustees of the estate of the late Captain Brown are not disposed to renew it. They want to sell the property. The Blue Grass Fair Association has an option on it for 0,000. This • •rganization is trying to raise the purchase price bj popular suliscription. Little progress has been made. Hoi Springs. Ark.. March li. Malt J. Winn, wken asked regarding the I/cxington meeting, said: "The ma tier may be decid"d tomorrow or next day. Our base on the track expires April 1. The Blue Crass Fair Association is trying to buy the plant. In the eein the lair association gets the property, 1 have been asked to manage the meeting. If J. B. Haggin gets the track I do not know what dis position he will make of it. If the track is not -old I may least it again and hold a spring meeting."
