Rifle Range broke from an outside position and bad clear sailing, caused B jam OB the first turn, raced Billy Bowlegs into sibjectiou and otttganicd Meadowgreen at the end. The latter closed a gap in the last quarter aud nuished gamely. Toro stood a hard drive well through the last furlong ami. but for lielut iu close quarters, would have been closer up. Sweet Kitty ran well, but went wide on the turn and tired slightly in the final drive. Edith M. had no mishaps and ran fairly well. Buivn Arnold ran a bad race and can do much better. Pacheta. showing decided improvement, stood the final drive gamely and got up in the last stride for third place. Will Sylvester showed the most speed for a half, then tired badly. Ulack Pat was in a iBBgll all the way. Prince of Pleas ran a bad race aud can do much better. Grace-laud quit after going a half. The winner was entered for 00; uo bid. Hannibal Bev ran close up through the early stages and. despite lieing forced wide on the turns, stood a drive well thrt ugh the stretch. Sorrel Top ran fairly well under poor handling, but can do better. Midas was shullied back soon after tile stait aud bad scant chance. The winner was entered for .000; no bid. Match, lucky and clear of Interference most of the way, showed much speed and repeatedly shut off his contenders iu the first three qiiarlers and. standing a hard drive through the stretch, oatsaased Ruilobu. The latter was lioorly handled and suffering from interference, but ran a good race and would have won with clear sailing. Baker Waters was caught in a jam soon after the start Bad was in tore quarters for the first three-quarters, finished fast when clear anil pulled up lame. Helgerson, knocked back soon after the start, closed a big gap and finished gamely. Hauiilcar was very lame when 1,oing to post aud tan surprisingly well considering the rough trip he had. Jake Sanders tired after going three-quarters. Sultry was badly handled aud kept far back early, but finished fast and can do much better. Clear Night tired after showing speed for a half.
