SKETCH OF INFERNOS RACING. Inferno Joseph K. Seagrams five-year-old bay aarae by Havoc- Boa Ino, the pride of the Water loo stable, won the rich Toronto Cup race yesterday after two previous attempts, a year to a day intervening between each of the three races. Last year at the Woodbine Park track. May 24. he finished second to Fred Cooks Minnie Adams, mill May 21, 1966, be was second to X. Dyments Tong-onler. Inferno made his first and only start as a two-year-old at Toronto. September 23. 1004, coupled with Caper Sauce as the Seagram entry, and the last named won the race, while Infeino was unplaced. His next race was at the BSBM rack May 2t. 15103. when he won the Kings Plate and four days later was del and by Tongorder for the Toronto Cup. A week later lie again finished second to Tongorder in the race for the King Edward Hotel Cold Cup. but the following day won the Produce Stakes. His next appearance was in the Buffalo Derby. June 10, when he finished seventh and last, the race being won by Oxford, with Tong order second. The colt was then given a rest for the Saratoga meeting and his lirst race there WSS run agaiu in seventh and last place. His two other races during the meeting were equally pi or. He was shipped back to Tenants where he won a race September 1ft and his unplaced race three days later was his last for the year. He was carefully prepared for his 1000 campaign .at Waterloo and given his finishing touches at Woodbine Park and rewarded his ownr and trainer for their pains by WlaaJag his first race, a handicap, ami three days later. May 24. Pxm!. ran his second race for the Toroato Cap, finishing second to Mill nie Adams. His next race Was his victory in the King Edward Hotel Gold Cap over Little Scout and Fort Hunter. He was not seal to the Buffalo meet ing last year, being shipped direct to Saratoga where he won his tirst stari. Aagasl 8, sad August 13. finished second to Peter Sterling and two days after ward made his third ami last start at that track by winning a mile and a quarter handicap. Making two starts at Sheenshead Pay September 5 and 10, in both of which be was unplaced, he was shipped back to Toronto to run for the Toronto Autumn Cup September 13 in which he finished fourth, but four days later won the Durham Cap and went into retirement tor tie winter.
