Yorkist got off oorly, but moved up quickly, ran Into the lead on the first turn and, keeping it, was easing up. Golden Wes.t was always prominent in the running and easily held second place safe. Ingham made up ground and, finishing fast, outstayed Moyea In the final drive. The latter followed Yorkist closely to midway of the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth anil can do lietter. Star Cat closed a great gap into a fast going fifth. Thomas Hoy ran well. El Capitan made up ground. - Griften showed speed. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. Mombassa, running in greatly improved form,. was skillfully reserved in behind the leaders to the stretch, then came on with a great rush and won drawing clear. Restigouche ran lapped on Sir Cleges from the start and finally raced him into defeat, but tired and could not withstand Mombassas resolute challenge. Sir Cleges showed superior early speed and set a very fast -pace, but -failed to stay the route. Ben Flj-et was as good as left and closed an immense gap. Won handily; second driving; third the same. Sir Lynnewood got off favorably and was reserved in u good position to the turn for home, from where lie came on fast and finally won by a safe margin. Tony Faust ran a remarkable race, was off badly and ran last for the first quarter, then came on with a tremendous rush and finished gaining on the winner jt every stride. First Premium closed an early gap and was also going very fast at the end. Cainigorm got off last and. after trailing to the stretch, came on with a cyclonic rush and would have been second, if not first, if off well. Ben Ban, Kings Daughter and Grimaldl all showed early speed, but tired badly. Dr. Gardner was short and failed to stay. Scratched 09593 Wexford, 10S: C97::G3Ehon, 105; 052013Killaloe, 102. Saraclnesca ditshed into the lead at once and, setting a fast pace all the way, appeared an easy winner when coining into the stretch, but was suddenly brought to a drive and barely lasted long enough. Ostrich trailed to the stretch, then came on with a great rush under a vigorous ride and almost got up. Miss Crawford ran a good race, followed Saracinesca closely to the stretch and should be improved by the race. IaUinonok was knocked back at the start and could never recover his full speed. Besom was away fast and showed great early speed, but tired as though short one race and will improve through this effort. Jane Swift could not improve her position in the early running, lint finished fast. Troublesome ran a goo.1 race and finished with a rush. Annoyance closed a big gap and was a fast going fifth.
