Mattie Mack followed the pacemaker closely for the first half, wore down Agnes Virginia in the stretch and won goin away. Agnes Virginia acted badly at the post, but broke fast and, taking a long lead, appeared a certain winner, but tired slightly in the last furlong. Marmorean had scant chance with an incompetent ride and finished gamely on her own courage. Our Anna and Lady Arion ran fairly well. Queeu Caroline noted fractionary at the post. Lavatrina, forced wide most of the way, came fast through the stretch and took second place in the last stride. Pleasant View Belle began slowly, but saved ground on the stretch turn and finished with a rush. Hester Zorra, favored at the start, followed the winner closely for the first half, but tired in the last furlong. Sabado ran poorly and can do much better. Thir.i Rail showed improvement and is rounding into good form. Waldorf Belle ran a bad race and can do much better. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched Tarquin, 110. Devout was reserved in the early stages, moved up resolutely after rounding the stretch turn and. finishing with a rush, outstayed Albert Fir in the closing drive. Albert Fir ran a good race and was a forward contender from the start, but tired slightly near the end and may have been short. Telegrapher suffered from interference and was gaining at the end when lie secured clear sailing. Cull moved up resolutely after going three furlongs, but tired in the stretch. Kolinoilaw ran a fairly good half Iiefore tiring. Dr. Spruill ran a bad race and can do much better. Great got off badly, but ran far below his best form. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. John Dillon, after trailing far back iu the early stages, moved up resolutely at the stretch hurdle and finished gamely under weak handling. Dell Loath was given a bad ride, McClure looking around frequently, and finally pulled out to allow Class Leader to. pass him after taking the seventh jump, can do much better and ran far below his best form. Colloquy made the running throughout, but tired fast in the stretch and had to be .hard ridden to outlast Eiectorine. The latter ran a good nice and was a sharp contender throughout. Ovelando tired in the closing drive, but ran fairly well and was best of the others. Gem of the AVilds was a distant trailer for the first half, but was gaining at the end. Al W. showed fair form for a half. Kokomo wheeled and unseated his rider at the three furlong post and jumped the track fence.
